Answer: Social influence researchers can address the ethical issue of informed consent by fully debriefing participants at the earliest opportunity, explaining the true aim of the study, and giving them the right to withdraw their data.


They can also address the issue of protection from harm by ensuring that participants are not placed in situations that could cause embarrassment or discomfort.
